OK, but when I subscribed, the group was empty, which sort of suggests that
there has not been a flurry of messages about anything.

I was looking to see if there was any news of the MGS since the anomaly, but
its gone awfully quiet at the web site.

Hoping for some Mars news someday

Okay, here is some Mars news, although it is from my own research. Make of
it what you will.

I have located 8 "rind features" from both rovers and in the panoramics as
well as the microscopics. Nobody on the project will comment on these, and
the information has been posted on my site starting some months back when I
only had two or three. The page has expanded over time, and here is the
page presently, awaiting update:

Here is the newest image with all eight features:

These are not just rocks, clearly. NASA has a policy of avoiding those
things they cannot explain and looking at only what they can admit. What do
they think these are?

Of course, there is always the fossil gallery:

They claim not to know about these features, yet NASA and JPL (to name only
two) are constant visitors to my site and have read literally everything.
Like most people with a web site, I keep track of all the traffic and they
figure prominently on many days. The military and government hits are
sometimes nothing short of incredible. However, I don't expect that they
will address any of this any time soon.

Note that all these images are directly from their data as you can confirm
by visiting the links on my site. None of these images has anything added
or altered, other than image processing such as spatial filtering or
contrast enhancement. All color images on my site are done using a process
based on the relative solar spectral energy, response of the three color
receptors in the human eye, and NASA calibration data.

Compare the images to those rusty orange pictures from Cornell. The
differences are night and day.

Cheers!

Use what ?
The group.

I thought there was something wrong with my newsreader! There has been
little news. Even JPL seems to have lost a bit of interest in the Rovers
judging from their web site.
